Cheshire Cat's Pictures | Backyard Birds

In summer of 2011, a pair of cardinals built a nest just outside our kitchen window.  By which I mean, "on the outer screen, inside the ivy."  It was a great spot for them: hidden, shaded, and hard to get to.  It also gave us a great view of the birds, the eggs, and eventually, the hatchlings.  We were sad when they fledged, but hopefully they're flying around out there somewhere.

A lot of the pictures are pretty bad: with the hot, humid weather, we got a lot of condensation on the windows.  Plus, shooting through these windows (usually two or three panes of glass) is tricky.  Still, I did my best.  Enjoy!
