Cheshire Cat's Pictures | Boulder Wildfire, January 2009

On 7 January 2009, Boulder had a wildfire along some of the adjacent mountains.  (Causes were downed powerlines and high winds.)  Fortunately, only one house was burned, so we were able to enjoy the beauty of the fire after nightfall without feeling too bad.  My pictures here were snapped from Gunbarrel, mostly from Celestial Seasoning's open space.  (I only took a couple of steps off the sidewalk, so don't worry: no prarie dogs were hurt or terrified.)
